Two of New York's most powerful families will collide in this urban drama. When Don Vito's mafia family is threatened by Brooklyn's most powerful street king, Caesar "Smash" Benton, a turf war will decide the fate of each others empire. Vito begins to recruit new members, taking in Richie, the son of his former right hand man. While falling deeper into the web of the mafia, Richie begins to reassess his goal of killing Vito; the man who murdered his father, over the love of respect he earns from the "family". Prepare yourself for an intense story of drama, romance and war.

so much more than just a "mafia movie" - renita1228 - 18/06/2010 17:43:15
honestly, ive never been a huge fan of crime films but blood line was so much more than that. it was a great story about family, love, and making choices. i was able to understand the characters, and why they did what they did and even relate to them in certain ways. the actors played their roles well and were very convincing. i suppose this can be attributed to really good casting as well. blood line was well written, well filmed, and well done overall. the music really brought everything together and was a perfect fit. it is so impressive that so much was done with so little. this movie left me wanting more. i look forward to future films by this director.

blood line - debbeand - 18/06/2010 17:44:00
sometimes you watch a movie and after 2 hrs of sitting there you think, "ok…?" i hate watching a movie that makes absolutely no sense!!! blood line is totally the opposite of this. it is well written, it made sense and it has a little bit of comedy which i enjoyed in addition to the suspense and the non-stop action all the way to the ending. there was not a single second in this movie where i wanted to pause, the suspense was too much…some movies you can actually tell the outcome, but in blood line, the director did a really good job adding a twist to every scene you think you know whats going to happen next! i loved the ending, didnt see that coming!!!!

great mob movie - mrbeamon - 18/06/2010 17:45:48
this is a very good movie. i suggest it for all mob movie fans you wont be disappointed.all i can say is that youll watch it more than once..the characters were all acted out beautifully, there were exciting parts sad parts a full range of directing talent and acting talent as well. evenhtough it was done on a small budget it didnt diminish the picture one bit.... i cant wait to see the writers other mafia titles.its time for the mob movie to make a come back and blood line fits in there perfectly among the many excellent mafia titles beginning to spring up throughout the movie industry.i look forward to watching it again and am glad i could add it to my movie collection.

blood line - skin70 - 11/01/2010 21:22:14
solid mafia thriller, 23 march 20098/10author: skin70 from united statesi saw this at its ny premiere this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by it. according to the director it cost next to nothing to make; with the cast working for credit alone and the director doing all the filming, mixing, and editing himself. this shows in the minor flaws of the film, but that doesnt distract from the movie itself.the shinning moments in this are really the dialog scenes. like in scorseses "mean streets", you get a real fly-on-the-wall look at the down time of the characters. they riff off each other in, what appears to be, great improvisational styling. several of the cast really shine and the casting choices made for the characters are dead on.the film flies through at a brisk pace and has plenty of action sequences. yet, they seem to fall a little flat in the choreography. still, you can tell by the passion of those involved that they wanted to make this movie the best they could, and they really do try hard to accomplish that.its not a perfect movie, but its worth a look as i would expect a few of the people involved with this to go on to bigger things in the future.
