a study in independent horror - skin70 - 18/06/2010 18:16:21
three short stories made on a shoe-string budget. the first story reminds me of a japanese ghost/horror movie. its centered around a robbery gone wrong as the robber is haunted by his actions. the second has kind of a depalma feel to it. a man makes a mistake and pays for it. the final short actually reminds me of a tale from the crypt episode. its peppered with dark humor and lots of blood. its not a bad watch; creepy at times and amusing at others. you can really sense the passion the director and performers have for their work. it does have its flaws. the stories feel a little contrived, lacks the punch of a good horror short story, and it feels a little rushed. recommended for those who want to see how an independent horror movie should be made and produced for little or no backing.
